When you commit body and soul to a sport, it is best to equip yourself with equipment capable of transmitting all your physical capacities.
Bemor@ carbon wheels are exceptional wheels. Both in terms of their performance and the finish they offer. The construction of the pair of wheels is organized around three axes:
The hubs:
- Bemor@ hubs are equipped with a 288 PoE engagement system for several hundred pedal positions at the start (<1°) and instant engagement when exiting a curve. The freewheel body is a ratchet system (6) with optimized power transfer without spring effect (as opposed to unidirectional bearing hubs: Onyx, SD, Stealth). No risk of unhooking and quality sealing with a so-called "labyrinth" seal.
- The freewheel body is made of titanium, machined by high-precision numerical control. The alloy of the hub bodies is made of aluminum/magnesium alloy commonly called: Duralumin. This mixture of materials accompanied by titanium screws offers an extraordinary weight of only 488g per pair of hubs.
The rims:
- The Bemor® Carbon rims are of French design and are hand-made using South Korean Tansome® H3055 Graphene fibers. They have a tire attachment system called "semi-hook". This geometry offers a significant increase in the resistance of the hooks in the event of impacts thanks to a greater wall thickness, without being heavier.
- The sides of the rims are structured in "honeycomb" in order to reduce aerodynamic drag and increase resistance to critical impacts and improve the comfort of the rim, without altering the rigidity at the spoke holes and therefore the responsiveness of the wheels.
- The rims have a different profile at the spoke holes. Geometry that optimizes the orientation of the carbon fiber to respond to the tensile stresses of the spokes (because carbon is an anisotropic material). In contrast, between the spokes, the profile is lower in order to reduce wind resistance, improve comfort and tolerance to wheel steering errors.
- The spoke holes are only 2.3mm in diameter instead of the common 4.8mm. The reduction in diameter significantly reduces the weakness caused by these holes in the structure of the rim. Each spoke is retained by more material and limits the risk of tearing.
The spokes:
- The spokes are very important because they determine the behavior of the wheels. The responsiveness, the tolerance to steering, the comfort, the absorption of shocks and the very durability of this behavior.
- The choice was made on a variable section structure. The spokes are thinner in their center than at their end. This reduces the inertia of the wheel and provides lateral flexibility that makes the wheels very permissive and pleasant to ride. The spokes are on an annealed stainless steel alloy after work hardening. This increases their mechanical properties and their traction performance. This is in order to obtain the most responsive wheels possible without using a complex straight pull spoke system. The spoke nipples are made of brass, with a nickel coating for increased resistance to corrosion. They also have a high-performance self-locking system, requiring the assembly and balancing of the wheels by hand, for impeccable and qualitative lacing.
