The Pulse® Atlas rims are highly technical rims optimized for BMX Race and Pumptrack riding. They incorporate a new hybrid material selection and a completely redesigned structure.
The Atlas rim profile is heavily inspired by motocross technology. The curvature of the sidewalls follows the same design principles. This profile offers a unique rolling characteristic: under heavy compression, the upper section of the rim can flex up to 4 degrees. This behavior reduces tire float and slip angle, minimizing sliding while increasing grip and stability — a feature especially appreciated by Pumptrack riders.
The new design also improves resistance to the forces generated by spoke tension and helps prevent pull-through failures. The tensile forces applied by the spokes are aligned longitudinally with the surrounding carbon fibers, allowing the rim to better exploit the anisotropic properties of carbon fiber (meaning strength varies depending on fiber orientation). As a result, wheel builds gain both stability and long-term durability.
Thanks to the inverted curvature of the sidewalls, the rims are capable of controlled deformation to absorb vibrations and impacts. Vibrations are absorbed and dissipated as heat without compromising the bond between the fibers and the resin. To support this specific behavior, the rims are manufactured using two distinct types of carbon fiber. The upper and lower sections use Tansome H3055 carbon-graphene fiber, known for its exceptional stiffness and strength. The sidewalls are made from Tansome H2561 carbon fiber, selected for its flexibility and 20% elongation capability.
The Pulse® Atlas rims also feature semi-hook technology for enhanced tire retention and increased safety. This geometry improves resistance to critical impacts while helping compensate for minor tire imperfections.
These rims are certified compliant with ISO 4210 standards.

Our carbon components are manufactured using premium-grade materials to ensure optimal strength and performance for BMX Race riding, while meeting requirements that exceed the current official standard: NF EN 14781.
However, rims are not indestructible. Like any high-end equipment, it is the rider’s responsibility to understand their own limits and properly maintain their equipment.
Our rims are covered against hidden defects and manufacturing flaws that may have escaped our quality control process. However, the warranty does not apply if the product is damaged through improper use, or as a result of impacts caused by sharp objects, twisting, compression, crashes, abnormal impacts, or any other circumstances beyond the control of Pulse®.
